Adviser procedure

Procedure for Corporate Adviser, Solicitor or Accountant Registration and Client Company Document Display

  • Click Register.
  • Select Adviser registration page.
  • Complete on line registration form. This form consists of your firm's address and contact details.
  • Submit registration form.
  • Agree to self-certified sophisticated investor statement.
  • Accept FiSMA Terms & Conditions.
  • Once your registration request has been approved a message is forwarded to your email address containing your user name and password and instructions on procedure for registering your client companies on the FiSMA web site. Attached to this email message is your self-certified sophisticated investor certificate. This certificate is email and printer friendly, valid for one year, and can be easily renewed via the FiSMA web site. FiSMA generated self-certified certificates can be used for financial promotions outside the FiSMA arena if the holder so wishes.)
  • You have an option to change both your password and company or firm's contact details at any time if so desired.
  • You only need to register once. After registration is confirmed you may revisit the web site and add new client companies as and when you wish.
  • To register your client company details select Manage Companies link, then Add Company and complete the client registration form. This form consists of your client's address and contact details.
  • Choose if you wish for either your or your client's contact details to be viewable to investors and submit.
  • Attach Word file of client company's business proposal overview. This overview will appear in HTML format on their company web page. (The maximum recommended length of a business proposal overview is 250 words.)
  • Choose if payment of £100 display fee is to be made by credit card or invoice and submit. FiSMA prefers you to pay by credit card.
  • A message is forwarded to your email address containing: a user name and password for use by your client company, a payment receipt or invoice and instructions on procedure for placing documents on your client company's web pages.
  • You and your client have an option to change both your passwords and registered company contact details at any time if so desired.
  • Log in and follow instructions as to how to place client company's documents on their web page. You may submit files in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point or PDF format. If files are submitted in Word, Excel or Power Point then we will convert them to PDF on your behalf. All documents will appear on the web site in PDF format.
  • The maximum number of documents you may display per client company web page is five.
  • Once your client company's web page is activated both you and your client will be able to view the number of times their web page and each of their company documents have been viewed by FiSMA registered self-certified investors.
  • Both you and your client will have access to their company discussion board.
  • You and your client will receive email notifications on the occasions that investors submit questions to your client's discussion board. To answer these questions return to the company web page, access their discussion board and reply.
  • Prior to the expiry of your client company's display period that you selected you will receive an email reminder providing instructions as to how to extend this period. If you do not wish to extend then all information relating to your client company will be removed from the FiSMA web site on the expiry date.
  • Registered advisers may, by setting their own preferences, automatically receive email notifications informing them of all newly displayed companies as and when they appear on the FiSMA web site. These preferences may be adjusted at any time if so desired.
  • As a registered adviser you may place an advertisement for your services, which takes the form of your company logo, a short explanatory text and a link to your own web site, on FiSMA. Adviser advertisements are listed alphabetically and searchable by geographical locations. (Adviser locations.) Placement of these advertisements is free of charge.
