Tom Mackay is a solicitor practising in London and a partner in an international law firm. Tom specialises in corporate and financial services law and international contracts. Tom was Head of Legal Department at the London Stock Exchange and also Head of Legal Department and a Director of 3i plc. Currently a member of the UK Government's Advisory Group on Company Law; previously chairman of various law committees including the Legal Committee of the Quoted Companies Alliance, which helps to look after the interests of UK quoted companies outside of the top 350 listed companies, and a member for 10 years of the Company Law Committee of the Law Society. Co-author of several books including on AIM, London Stock Exchange, Doing Business in the UK, Butterworths Financial Regulation Service and LexisNexis Butterworths Annotated Guide to the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and Oxford's Financial Markets and Exchange Law.
