Security
The FiSMA web site is hosted within a server environment that encompasses high levels of security. The server environment incorporates firewalls, redundant routers and other advanced technology that prevents access or interference from outside intruders. All equipment is located within facilities that include 24-hour monitoring and supervision, fire protection and climate control.
Log in procedure is via a valid user name and password combination. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is employed to encrypt all credit card details and document transmissions (secure SSL transactions) between your browser and the FiSMA web server (and vice versa). All popular web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL and Opera support SSL. Your browser will indicate a SSL secured session by changing the http to https in the domain name and displaying a small padlock at the base of the browser.
The SSL technology used by FiSMA is identical to that employed by leading financial service companies who provide credit card submissions and internet banking facilities.
